Uses of Commiphora ornifolia
The resin of Commiphora ornifolia is traditionally valued for its natural skin-softening properties. When applied to the skin—particularly on the hands—it forms a gentle protective layer that enhances smoothness and suppleness. Although it adheres firmly to the skin, it can be easily removed by rinsing the area with water after a few minutes, then applying a small amount of Vaseline or natural oil to loosen any remaining resin. The result is noticeably softer and refreshed skin.
Locally, this unique resin is also used as a natural hair remover and skin softener. When applied, it helps to lift unwanted hair while leaving the skin feeling smooth, nourished, and rejuvenated—offering a traditional, chemical-free alternative for personal care.
